Applicants’ Qualifications

General Qualifications

  1. Birthplace:

Be a resident, as stated in the household register, of a province with admission quota for no less than 1 year, or the father/mother/legal guardian has residency in a province with admission quota for no less than 5 years until the first day of term time.

  1. Age:

Between 16 and 35 years, up to the first day of term time.

  1. Height:

Bachelor of Nursing Program: At least 150 cm.

Diploma of Emergency Medical Operation Program: At least 155 cm.

Other Programs: No minimum height requirement

  1. Health:

Be of sound physical and mental health, with appropriate personality, no disability or physical and mental defect that would hinder one's studies and professional practice.

  1. Behavior:

Be of good records of conduct and character with no tarnished reputation nor previous criminal conviction.

  1. Male applicants with no mission:

Must not be selected for military service in April of the year of admission nor be a Buddhist monk or novice, by the order of the Sangha Supreme Council of Thailand on Prohibition of Buddhist Monks and Novice in Lay Person's Professional Studies or Selection Examination of B.E. 2521 (1978 AD).

  1. Welfare for public health staff:

- Have a right only public health staff’s son or daughter

- Be son or daughter of government official; permanent employee; public officer; or public health officer

- Be a status of public health staff’s son or daughter by birth or blood relation

- Public health staff needed to be alive until the date of applicants’ application process started

- Added 100 scores in term of:

  • Village health volunteer (VHV) is not public health staff and has no right in conditions above.
  • Government officials or officials retired as follow Civil Service Act B.E. 2551 (2008 AD).
  • Adopted child is not able to have a right in conditions above.

 

Educational Qualifications

  1. Educational requirement

Be a high school graduate in the curriculum of the Ministry of Education, only formal education system – Senior high school program B.E. 2524 (1981 AD) revised edition B.E. 2533 (1990 AD) including elective subjects as follow:

- Sciences              Structure 1               25 modules

                            Structure 3               21 modules

- Mathematics         Structure 1               15 modules

- English                                             12 modules

The Basic Education Curriculum B.E. 2544 (2001 AD) included basic course and additional course as follow:

- Sciences              No less than             22 credits

- Mathematics         No less than             12 credits

- English                No less than             9 credits

The Basic Education Core Curriculum B.E. 2551 (2008 AD) included basic course and additional course as follow:

- Sciences              No less than             22 credits

- Mathematics         No less than             12 credits

- English                No less than             9 credits

Both non-formal and informal education systems that are equivalent to formal education system in science subjects need to display educational documents for training practice.

 

Criteria for Accepting Application:

1.1 High School Graduated:

- High school grade point average of no less than 2.00.

- Grade point average in sciences and mathematics throughout the high school curriculum of no less than 2.00.

1.2 High School Graduate:

- High school grade point average of no less than 2.00. Current high school students use the GPA of the past 5 terms.

- Grade point average in sciences and mathematics throughout the high school curriculum of no less than 2.00.

  1. Graduates of high school-equivalent programs such as Vocational Certificate, High

Vocational Certificate, and Technical Certificate are not accepted.

  1. Requirement for National Institute of Educational Testing Service:

- General Aptitude Test: GAT Subject Code 85.

- Professional and Academic Aptitude Test: PAT2 Subject Code 72.

Requirement for National Education Test:

- General Aptitude Test (GAT)                    No less than   100 points

- Professional and Academic Aptitude Test II (PAT2) No less than     70 points

  1. Bachelor Degree (4 years): Every curriculum only accepted applicants graduated from formal education system in mathematics and sciences and rejected applicants graduated from non-formal education system.
